Tutorial: Next Steps

This tutorial has touched on a few of the capabilities which are enabled by TaxServer. For a useful application, of course more work is needed, such as handling of:

• various options presented by the 2020 Federal W-4,
• employee supplemental (bonus) pay,
• local taxes,
• unemployment and state disability taxes,
• paid family leave taxes, and
• error messages returned from TaxServer.

You may wish to investigate the TaxQuery docker container, which provides assistance in identifying tax jurisdiction names given an employee's work and residence addresses. Resulting names are compatible with TaxServer and other Caliber Technology platforms.
